Pittsburgh Headshot Photography | Moira’s Session

Below are some highlights from a recent headshot session I did for Moira, who’s interested in pursuing local modeling and talent work. The shoot was geared towards creating a base portfolio of images that she could start marketing to local agency’s with. This session had a nice variety of contemporary, natural lit shots along with some traditional style headshots that were studio lit. It really worked out to be a fun shoot and I was able to give Moira a nice variety of looks that she can use for her new portfolio.

Matthew Blassey Photography | Trekking Through Deep Creek

Last weekend, Jen and I ventured down to Deep Creek Lake in Maryland for a weekend get away.   The weather was perfect, so we took advantage of the hiking trails in the state park.  We  encountered a lot of rocky terrain and steep hills, but these sections of the trail definitely kept the hike interesting and gave us a good work out.  The forest was dense, quiet and an ideal spot for some great photos.

If your interest in the trails at Deep Creek Lake State Park or would like to find out more info then please check out the link I provided below:

Pittsburgh Musician Photography | Bastard Bearded Irishmen Portraits

I had the opportunity a little while back to photograph The Bastard Bearded Irishmen. They’re an up and coming irish rock band that have really been creating a buzz within the local Pittsburgh music scene.  They’re recently released there debut album on amazon and itunes and were looking for some band shots to use for future promotion.  Below are some highlights from the shoot.  you can find out more about them at

Pittsburgh Headshot Photography | Winston’s Session

Here are some images I photographed from a recent model/headshot session with local Pittsburgh actor, Winston.  He currently finished up with a local theatre production and has roles in several independent films being shot in Pittsburgh.  He was in a big need of modeling and headshot images for his portfolio and I feel we got a great variety of styles from our session.  Winston was really great to work with and I wish him the best of luck in his career.  You can view his profile and contact information at
